08 Days / 09 Nights:-

Day 01: Delhi – Leh:-

Early this morning after a quick cup of tea/coffee you will be taken to the airport for your flight to Leh. This one-hour flight from the Indian capital to Ladakh's capital will be something that you might remember for the rest of your life. Assistance on arrival and immediate transfer to your hotel. There will be no activity on your first day of arrival.It has been strongly recommend for tourists to relax and undergo minimal exertion to enable them to get acclimatized to rarefied oxygen level in this high-altitude region ensconced in the high Himalayan plateau. Overnight at the hotel in Leh.

Day 02: Leh - Introductory tour:-

Visit the Shanti Stupa on the hill top where you can see a spectacular view of Leh town, Khardongla pass and Stok Kangri peak. Then a visit to Tsemo Castle on top of a cliff facing Leh town – Here lies a three storey tall statue of Maitreya Buddha and below is Namgyal Palace – Built by 16th century ruler Singay Namgyal, which was damaged during Kashmir – Ladakh war. Overnight at the hotel in Leh.

Day 03: : Leh – Tour of Hemis, Thiksey, Shey and Stok:-

Visit the Hemis Monastery – The richest and the largest monastery in Ladakh, on the same route, way back to Leh, we’ll visit Thiksey Monastery which belongs to red hat sect of Tibetan Buddhism, and Shey Palace - summer palace of the kings of Ladakh called Singey Namgyal. Facing Shey across the river Indus lies the Stok Palace Museum. A visit to the museum will be followed by a drive back to Leh. Overnight at the hotel in Leh.

Day 04: : Leh – Pangong Lake:-

Distance: 150 Kms Drive: 05 Hrs.
The main attraction of this circuit is the Pangong Lake, situated at an altitude of 14,000 ft (4,267m). It is a long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly 6 to 7 kms at its widest point, and over 130 kms long, and bisected by the international border between India and China. One fourth portion of this lake is in India and rest in China. Overnight at the hotel in Leh.

Day 05: Leh - Lamayuru - Uleytokpo – Rizdong:-

After breakfast, we then drive to Lamayuru monastery along the Srinagar highway, founded in 11th century perched on a spur high above the valley bottom just off the main road, it is one of the most spectacularly picturesque monastery in central Ladakh.It is believed to be the oldest in central Ladakh and to have been the holy place of the Bon-chos the advent of Lamaism or Tibetan Buddhism. Then we drive back to Uleytokpo Camp for Lunch, afternoon at leisure, late in the afternoon we are driven to visit Rizdong Nunnery; the only nunnery in Ladakh also known as Chomoling, after that we then drive uphill to visit Rizdong monastery beautifully situated in a gorge. We then return to our camp. Overnight at Alchi / Uleytokpo camp

Day 06: Uleytokpo Camp – Leh via Alchi, Likir monastery, Basgo palace:-

After breakfast, we depart for Alchi, visit the world's famous monastery built in the 11th century by Lotsava Rinchen Zangpo. Alchi monastery is very different from the rest as it has a fusion of Tibetan and Kashmiri Art. After that, we continue our drive to visit Likir monastery followed with the drive to visit Basgo monastery, situated on hill top. Basgo monastery is among the endangered sites of World monument fund, built of mud brick and rammed earth, during the 16th and 17th century A.D. The fortress has three temples, erected in celebration of Great Maitreya (The future Buddha). The largest of all statues is the 14-meter high gilded earthen statue of the Maitreya Buddha, surrounded by murals depicting scenes from his life and portraits of the patrons who underwrote the construction of the temple complex. Overnight at hotel in Leh.

Day 07: Leh – Nubra Valley:-

Distance – 145 Kms Drive: 04 – 05 Hrs
Morning we depart towards Northwards across the Khardong La the highest motorable road in the world, which is at a hight of 5570 mts. (18300 ft.) after a brief halt at the pass, we continue our drive to a different landscape. We arrive at the village of Hunder in Nubra Valley, check-in to a tented camp. Afternoon we drive or walk up to visit Diskit Monastery. After that, we visit the Double Humped Camel Breeding Center. This camel,also known as the Bactrian Camel is the principal animal of inner Asia used especially on the Northern part of the route beyond Karakoram Pass. Overnight at Fixed tented camp / Resort

Day 08: Nubra Valley - Leh:-

Morning, we drive back to Leh from the same route across the Khardong La pass. Upon arrival in Leh, we check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.

Day 09: Leh – New Delhi:-

Today you will be woken up early in the morning, after a hot cup of tea/coffee you will be driven to the airport to connect your flight to New Delhi, this will be your last opportunity catch the spectacular view of the Himalayan ranges.

Note:-

Foreign nationals and NRI’s must carry their passport on tour to Ladakh. All guest must consult the doctor before joining this tour and should carry all precautionary medicines required for high altitude sickness like headaches, dizziness, nausea, breathing trouble etc.
